Masud Alam was born and raised in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Son of a Poet, he studied Art in Dhaka and Chittagong. He awarded a scholarship to study art at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria where he earned his Master of Arts in drawing and painting. He then later relocated to New York City.  Masud achieved his second Masters in Fine Arts at the Pratt Institute in computer graphics and interactive media. He has organized thirteen solo art exhibitions in Asia, Europe and the USA (1976-2016). His recent  solo show  “Essence of Bengal”  held at Dhaka and Chittagong in 2016. He creates art with traditional and digital media. He lives and works in Long Island, New York.
